Cures Young Children of Coughs, Cutaneous Inflammations, Pimples and Scabs, Gravel, Inflammations of the Ears, Navel and Mouth, Rickets, Suppreffion of Urine, Vomiting, Want of Sleep . It prevents the Growth of Hereditary Apoplexies, Afthma's, Blindness, Confumptions, Deafness, Deliria, Gout, King's Evil, Melancholy, Palfies, Rheumatism, Stone, It frequently cures every Nervous, and every Paralytic Diförder : In particular, The Afthma, Ague of every Sort, Atrophy, Blindnefs, Cancer, Chin- cough, Coagulated Blood after Bruifes, Confumption, Convulfions, Coughs, Complication of Diftempers, Convulfive Pains, Deafness, Dropfy, Epilepfy, Violent Fevers, Gout, (running) Hectic Fevers, Hemicrania, Hyfteric Pains Incubus, Inflammations, Involuntary Stool, or Urine, Lameness, (Old) Leprofy, Lethargy, Lofs of Appetite, of Smell, Speech, Tafte, Nephritic Pains , Palpitation of the Heart, Pain in the Back, Joints, Stomach, Rheumatifms, And this, I apprehend, accounts for its frequently curing the Bure of aMad Dog; efpecially if it be repeated for twenty five orthirtyDaysfucceffively. Rupture, Suffocations, Sciatica, Surfeits ( at the Beginning) Scorbutic Pains , Swelling onthe Joints, Stone in the Kidneys, Torper of the Limbs, even when the Ufe of them is loft, Tetanus, Tympany, Vertigo, St. Vitus's Dance, Vigilia, Varicous Ulcers, The Whites. But in all Cafes where the Nerves are obftruted, (fuch as are thofe marked thus ) you should go to Bed immediately after, and fweat. 'Tis often useful , to ufe the Hot Bath a few Days, before you use the Cold. Wife Parents fhould dip their Children in cold Water every Morning, till they are three Quarters old ; and afterwards their Hands and their Feet. N. B. No Child fhould ever be swath'd tight. It lays the Foundation for many Difeafes.- Tis beft to wean a Child at about feven Months old. They should lie in the Cradle at leaft a Year. No wife Parents fhould fuffer a Child to drink any Tea ; (at least, ' till it is ten or twelve Years old) or to eat much Spice or Sugar. Milk, Milk porridge,. and Water-gruel are the proper Breakfafts for Children. Washing
