384. May be cured inthe Manner laft-mentioned. 101. A Fever. 385. Drink a Pint and Half of cold Water lying downin Bed : I never knew it do Hurt : 386. Or, a large Glafs ofTar-water warm , every Hour. 387. The best of all Juleps in a Fever, is this : Toaft a large thin Slice of Bread , without Burning; put it hot into a Pint of cold Water ; then fet it on the Fire 'till it is pretty hot . In a dry Heat it may be given cold ; in a moift Heat warm ; the more largely the better : Tried. 388. Or, put an Ounce of Rice in a Pint ofWater. ter. Set it nearthe Fire, ' till it is fcalding hot. Then pour it off clear. 389. Or, for a Change, ufe Pippin or WoodforrelTea: Or, Pippin Poffet Drink : Or , Woodforrel Poffet Drink: 390. Or, Decoction of Violet-leaves : 391. Infection feizes the Stomach first. 102. A Burning Fever.. 393. Stamp a Handful of Leaves of Caprifolium ; put fair Water to it, and use it cold as a Clyfter. It commonly cures in an Hour : 394. Or, ímear the Wrifts, five or fix Inches long with warm Treacle, and cover it with ♪ brown Paper. See Dr. Tiffot. 103. A Continual Fever.. 395. If not very violent, take a Dram of Sal Pru nelle, every four Hours, in warm Water ' till it. abates. 104. A Hectick Fever 396. Drink only thin Water-gruel, or boil'd Milk and Water. The more you drink the better.
