105. A High Fever, 397. Attended with a Delirium and a Vigilia, has been cured by plunging into cold Water ; which is a safe and fure Remedy in the Beginning of any Fever. 398. Such a Delirium is often cured by applying warm Lamb's-lungs to the Head. Or, a Treadeplaifter : Tried . 106. An intermitting Fever. 399 Drink warm Lemonade in the Beginning of every Fit : It cures in a few Days : Tried ." 400. Or, Take a Tea-fpoonful of Oil of Sulphur in a Cup of Balm Tea, unce or twice a Day. 401. Or, half a Dram of powder'd Cochineal, an Hour before each fit. Or, fix Grains of powdered Snake - root, every hour during the intermiflion. Or, a Quarter of a Pint of Burdock Tea : ufing eitherthe leaf or Root. 107. A Fever with Pains in the Limbs. 402. Take twenty Drops of Spirits of Hartfhorn in a Cup ofWater twice or thrice in twenty-four Hours. 403. Or, infrong Camomile Tea, lying down in Bed. 108. A Rafh Fever. 404. Drink every Hour a Spoonful of Juice of Ground-ivy. It cures in twenty-four Hours. Ufe the Decoction when you have not the Juice. 109. A Slow Fever. 405. Ufe the cold Bath for two or three Weeks, daily. 110. A Fiftula. 406. Grind an Ounce of Mercury Sublimate, in a Glafs Mortar, with a Glafs Peftle, as fine as poffible. Put it into a Glafs Bottle, and pour on it two Quarts of pure Spring Water. Cork it clofe, and for fix Days fhake it well every Hour. Then letit fettle for twenty-four Hours. Pour it off clear ; filter, it in a Glafs Funnel ; and keep it for use close stopt. Put half a Spoonful of this Water in a Vial, and add two Spoonfuls ofpure Spring Water : Shake them well- toge ther, and drink it fafting. It works both by Vomit andby Stool, but very fafely. Keep yourfelf very warm , and walk as much as you can. The firft Time neither eat nor drink 'till two Hours after it has done working. Take this every other Day. In forty Days this will also cure any Cancer, any Old Sore or King's-Evil, broken or unbroken. After the first or fecond Vomit
