a Race of Ginger. Put all these in a Pot ; and fet them in an Oven after the Bread is drawn. Let it continue there ' till the Oven is near cold ; and let the Patient live on this .-I have known this cure a deep Confumption more than once. 214. Or, every Morning cut up a little Turf of fresh Earth, and lying down, breathe into the Hole for a Quarter,of an Hour. I have known a deep Confumption cured thus : 215. Or, live on Raifins and Bread, and drink only Decoction ofBarley and Liquorice. Mr. Mafters of Evesham , was fo far gone in a Confumption, that he could not ftand alone. I advifed him to lofe fix Ounces of Blood, every Day for a Fortnight, ifhe lived fo long; and then every other. Day ; then every third Day ; then every fifth Day, for the fame Time. To remove the Fever, mix Saltpetre one Dram, Cochineal half a Dram, the beft Brandy and Sugar an Ounce each, with a Quarter of a Pint ofWater. Of this Mixture take two large Spoonfulls, every third or fourth hour. For Diet, ufe Milk and Apples, or Water-gruel made with fine Flour. Drink Cyder-whey, Barley-
