HYMN 583. l. m. The same Subject. 1 A GAIN our weekly labours end, -*""*- And we the Sabbath's call attend ; Improve, our souls, the sacred rest, And seek to be for ever bless'd. 2 This day let our devotions rise To heaven, a grateful sacrifice ; And God that peace divine bestow, Which none but they who feel it know. 3 This holy calm within the breast Prepares for that eternal rest, Which for the sons of God remains ; The end of cares, the end of pains. 4 In holy duties, let the day, In holy pleasures, pass away : How sweet the Sabbath thus to spend, In hope of that which ne'er shall end! HYMN 584. l. m.
