Jesus, all thy name impart I
Holy Ghost, renew and dwell
For ever in his heart!
For the Society on Meeting*
HYMN 478. s. m.
1 A ND are we yet alive,
■£*- And see each other's face ?
Glory and praise to Jesus give
For his redeeming grace !
Preserved by power divine
To full salvation here,
Again in Jesu's praise we join,
And in his sight appear.
2 What troubles have we seen,
What conflicts have we past,
Fightings without, and fears within,
Since we assembled last !
But out of all the Lord
Hath brought us by his love ;
And still he doth his help afford,
And hides our life above.
3 Then let us make our boast
Of his redeeming power,
Which saves us to the uttermost,
Till we can sin no more :
Let us take up the cross,
Till we the crown obtain ;
And gladly reckon all things loss,
So we may Jesus gain.
HYMN 479. Ts.
1 T)EACE be on this house bestow' d,
-■- Peace on all that here reside !
Let the unknown peace of God
With the man of peace abide.
44o For the Society on Meeting.
Let the Spirit now come down ;
Let the blessing now take place !
Son of Peace, receive thy crown,
Fulness of the gospel grace.
2 Christ, my Master and my Lord,
Let me thy forerunner be ;
O be mindful of thy word ;
Visit them, and visit me !
To this house, and all herein,
Now let thy salvation come :
Save our souls from inbred sin ;
Make us thy eternal home !
3 Let us never, never rest,
Till the promise is fulfill'd ;
Till we are of thee possess'd,
Pardon'd, sanctified, and seal'd ;
Till we all, in love renew' d,
Find the pearl that Adam lost,
Temples of the living God,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost !
HYMN 480. 7's.
1 f^ LORY be to God above,
^J God from whom all blessings flow ;
Make we mention of his love,
Publish we his praise below :
Call'd together by his grace,
We are met in Jesu's Name ;
See with joy each other's face ;
Followers of the bleeding Lamb.
2 Let us then sweet counsel take,
