1 /^UICKEN'D with our immortal Head,
^^ Who daily, Lord, ascend with thee,
Redeem'd from sin, and free indeed,
We taste our glorious liberty.
2 Saved from the fear of hell and death,
With joy we seek the things above ;
And all thy saints the spirit breathe
Of power, sobriety, and love.
3 Power o'er the world, the fiend, and sin,
We through thy gracious Spirit feel ;
Full power the victory to win,
And answer all thy righteous will.

4 Pure love to God thy members find,
Pure love to every soul of man ;
And in thy sober, spotless mind,
Saviour, our heaven on earth we gain.
HYMN 420. l. m.
Resurrection.
1 \^E faithful souls, who Jesus know,
-*- If risen indeed with him ye are,
Superior to the joys below,
His resurrection's power declare.
2 Your faith by holy tempers prove ,
By actions show your sins forgiven !
And seek the glorious things above,
And follow Christ, your Head, to heaven,
3 There your exalted Saviour see,
Seated at God's right hand again,
In all his Father's majesty,
In everlasting pomp, to reign.
4 To him continually aspire,
Contending for your native place ;
And emulate the angel-choir,
And only live to love and praise.
5 For who by faith your Lord receive,
Ye nothing seek or want beside ;
Dead to the world and sin ye live ;
Your creature- love is crucified.
6 Your real life, with Christ conceal'd,
Deep in the Father's bosom lies ;
And, glorious as your Head reveal'd,
Ye soon shall meet him in the skies.

HYMN 421. s. m.
2 Tim. iv. 7-
1 " T THE good fight have fought,"
-*- O when shall I declare ?
The victory by my Saviour got,
I long with Paul to share.
0 may I triumph so,
When all my warfare 's past ;
And, dying, find my latest foe
Under my feet at last !
2 This blessed word be mine
Just as the port is gain'd,
" Kept by the power of grace divine,
1 have the faith maintain'd."
The' Apostles of my Lord,
To whom it first was given,
They could not speak a greater word,
Nor all the saints in heaven.
