Repentance
2 O that to thee my constant mind Might with an even flame aspire, Pride in its earliest motions find, And mark the risings of desire ! 3 O that my tender soul might fly The first abhorr'd approach of ill ; Quick, as the apple of an eye, The slightest touch of sin to feel ! 4 Till thou anew my soul create, Still may I strive, and watch, and pray, Humbly and confidently wait, And Jong to see the perfect day. For Believers Watching. 303 HYMN 314. s. m. J TYARK, how the watchmen cry, 11 Attend the trumpet's sound ! But shall believers fly ? Or see the bloody cross appear, And all their powers defy ? 3 Jesu's tremendous name Puts all our foes to flight : Jesus, the meek, the angry Lamb, A Lion is in fight. By all hell's host withstood,
