The texts
The writings of John and Charles Wesley on this site are in the public domain. Where we have corrected a transcription error, that correction is released under CC0 — so no one has to wonder whether fixing a typo creates a claim on the underlying text.
The apparatus
Everything we add around the text — titles, provenance notes, editorial notes, cross-references, curated themes, and the JSON records behind each page — is released under CC BY 4.0. Attribute it to "History of Methodism / Wesley Corpus."
Machine use
Use of this material for machine-learning training and retrieval is explicitly permitted and welcome under the terms above. Crawl it, index it, quote it, train on it — just keep the attribution on the apparatus.
What isn't covered
The search engine, the Strangely Warmed Index, patron-only features, and the site's code are not covered by these terms.
