After long weighing the matter in my mind, I cannot think of a preacher more proper to save Mr. Brackenbury's life See letter of Sept. 15. and prevent his preaching himself to death (which he has almost done already) than Joseph Sutcliffe. I must ask you to go as soon as possible by Southampton to the Isle of Jersey. Evidently to take the place of John Bredin. See letter of Jan. 3, 1791. You will find a most hearty welcome both from him and from all the people. Understand it will be a cross; but I believe it will be a blessed one. I have wrote this morning for another to come and supply your place in Oxfordshire. I am, dear Joseph, Your affectionate friend and brother.
