This is the Lord's doing, and is undoubtedly the effect of prayer. But I am sorry he is not weary of pain, otherwise he would have applied the bruised or baked onions. I know no instance yet wherein they failed to ease if not take away the pain. I have much hope that your father's visit to Mr. Linder's will cut up all misunderstandings by the roots. We are all in peace here; and I am Your affectionate friend and brother.
