To William Horner Date: LONDON, February 8, 1790. DEAR BILLY, I am determined there shall be no circuits in England with more than four preachers whilst I live. Four are too many if I could help it. I should have no objection to have pews at Oxford under the gallery, but not elsewhere. I wish to have our preaching-houses different from all others. Do not seek to be honorable; be content to be despised. I am glad you are all friends at Witney and that you prosper at High Wycombe. I am, with love to Sister Horner, Your affectionate friend and brother.
