To Samuel Bardsley Date: LONDON, February 1, 1775. DEAR SAMMY, There is something exceedingly remarkable in that sudden breaking out of the work at A . This is undeniably the Lord's doing, and leaves no room for man to glory. Wherever you are vehemently exhort the believers to 'go on to perfection.' Read yourself with much prayer, and recommend to them, the Plain Account of Christian Perfection, and those two sermons The Repentance of Believers and The Scripture Way of Salvation. I am, dear Sammy, Your affectionate brother.
